For about the last month things have been challenging for Mia. It all started when she got hit on her forehead and eye with a football while playing with Noah and Addy . Part of our concern with her LM has always been her vision. On the white of her eyeball on her right eye, the LM is visible and looks red on the sides but not covering the cornea. Occasionally it would turn red if her eye . She has also been in quite a bit of pain off and on along with some head aches. This was very concerning to us because Mia normally has a high pain tolerance and rarely even complains of pain after a surgery. Mia is also getting older so has a lot of questions and is scared. It has been tough to have her look up to us with questions and have to answer her with "we don't know" .
We were at Milwaukee children's last Monday all day and she had an ultrasound with the interventional radiologist . We also saw an eye specialist that afternoon.
Tomorrow morning we are leaving at 430 to head to Milwaukee Children's Hospital for an MRI .it has been 3 years since her last MRI. The MRI will take about 2 hours and Mia is going to do it without sedation (she has had many MRIs but has always been sedated for them in the past).
